North of the Pyrenees I touch down in France. In the valley of the river Garonne. In the city of Toulouse.
A stern lady watches over my path.
Time seems to slow down. I stroll along the river bank, where people eat lunch, bath in the sun or read a book.
I cross the bridge. Small restaurants wait for customers.
Some shops offer accessories.
Others offer looks.
Near a fountain boys play in the sun, while girls take pictures from the shade.
Someone else takes a picture of a book.
Arabia, Africa and Europe seem to meet in this streets.
I reach the Canal …
… watched through shaded windows.
At a church …
… the gate invites me …
… to look inside.
