Germany is the place where a single man split Christianity; the place that occupied center stage in a World War – twice. It’s been around for thousands of years in many different forms, and split in many different ways. A country of legends and myths, but very real. Most people seem to stick to the rules, and not few seem to have a tendency to remind others. Few people stand out; most seem to blend in. Do what everybody else does and you will be fine, … seems to be the message.
This place gave birth to a variety of icons …
… and seems to readily assimilate others.
I cannot remember any spectacular views, but there are plenty of things to see; in the countryside …
… on the rivers …
… and in the cities. There is room to live, …
… to work …
… and to create.
There seems to be a pragmatic approach to appearances.
I experienced efficient communication, …
… with a tendency towards minimalism.
Germany is now part of the Union, …
… and many have come to stay, …
… or to have a look.
The streets belong to the people …
… and life seems good.
Old ideas still hang around …
… but new ones are emerging.
