Memories: Soulmate

I had to be at the airport soon; it was a one-day trip from here. It was my return flight, the end of my journey. I did not want to go back to the small world I grew up in. So, I went to the beach, sat down on the gravel and looked out at the sea. I thought about other options, and how my choice would set the path of my life.

I was alone, until a seagull joined me. There we sat for hours, together, on a cold and cloudy day.

I cannot say where it came from, whether it was a local, or was just passing through. But it felt like a true soulmate.

To you, I dedicate this blog entry – the one thousandth.
