There is an old part of this country and a new one. This distinction seems to be somewhat misleading as there is plenty of Old in the New.
For example: Finding the right ticket for the public transportation system seems to be as confusing around here as it is in the new states.
I walk to get a feel for the place. A certain style seems to dominate the local architecture …
… with matching ornaments …
… and infrastructure.
Then the style changes …
… step …
.. by step …
… until the New looks rather Old.
I cross the river …
… that does sometimes seem to have a temper …
… to see the king …
… and return. There is old transportation …
… and new.
There are guards …
… watching over timeless brands and icons.
I pass through a quarter …
… where the Old …
… and the New …
… coexist …
… peacefully …
… picking the curiosity of passers-by.
I see Beauty where the New meets the Old …
… in Style.
